Position Description
The Shipping Clerk reviews, processes, and invoices laboratory cases and handles shipping logistics for various dental products.
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Review, process, record, and invoice all cases entering and departing from the laboratory in an efficient and effective manner.
- Perform all billing activities, ensuring accurate invoicing of all cases leaving the system.
- Establish check points to verify that invoices are appropriately matched to the pan number and client name before shipment.
- Open shipping boxes, identify all contents, and ensure that they are secure.
- Adhere to procedures for identifying the method of shipment for both local and national carriers and place completed boxes in the appropriate area for scanning and final disposition.
- Maintain records of products shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
- Troubleshoot and report any shipping issues to management promptly.
- Assemble shipping boxes and acquire all necessary materials for shipping.
- Label, disinfect, and remove impurities from impression bites, crowns, and other items.
Qualifications
- Possession of a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Experience in the shipping industry or a related field.
- Proficiency in using computers and performing data entry tasks.
- Prior experience working in the dental industry preferred.
- Aptitude for learning new computer programs.
- Physical dexterity and stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform other physical duties as needed.
