Job Summary:

Candidates should have a strong understanding of full-arch implant protocols and procedures.  The ideal candidate should have a thorough knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures, and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.  The prospective team member should be skilled in chairside assisting, including instrument handling, digital record management, and patient interaction.  The Surgical Technician will provide clinical digital chairside support to JB Dental Labs’ local clients. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work well under pressure. The Surgical Technician will report to the Surgical Technician Manager and be based at our Tempe, AZ location and entails travel to various appointment locations as needed.  Work hours are determined based on scheduled appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain accurate and detailed digital data

  • Facilitate smooth operational workflows for internal departments and external clients at JB Dental Lab

  • Providing ongoing education and maintaining effective communication with dental offices

  • Liaising with clients to deliver clinical education and support with full arch digital workflow

  • Providing exceptional patient care and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatment

  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations

  • Utilizing and maintaining cutting-edge digital software and equipment

  • Manage detailed documentation and facilitate timely, clear communication

  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions

General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the Surgical Technician Manager and Surgical Technician team to achieve common goals

  • Maintaining a professional and positive demeanor in all interactions with patients and co-workers

  • Participating in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest digital dental technology and techniques

  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures

  • Performing other duties as assigned

  • Learning how other departments contribute to the creation of products

Required Skillsets and Physical Demands (Other):

  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures (including full arch)

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Excellent manual dexterity

  • Comfortable working with dental instruments, equipment, technology, and other digital dentistry tools

  • Exceptional patient communication and education skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment, up to 50 lbs

  • Must have valid driver’s license 

Education and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program (recommended but not required)

  • Current CPR certification

  • Experience with digital dentistry tools

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

The environment is considered a dental lab manufacturing environment, and is required to establish policies and procedures, and follow guidelines prescribed by OSHA, Federal and State mandates.  The candidate hired for the Dental Surgical Technician position will be required to follow health and safety protocols established by JB Dental Lab.
