Hallmark is a Halifax based dental lab serving dental clinics and their patients in Atlantic Canada. We are looking to hire a Dental Technician to join our growing lab. Your duties will include fabrication of Essix retainers and other dental appliances related to essix materials. We require a candidate with good dexterity, the ability to work in a high paced environment, and strong ambition.
Dental Technician Responsibilities:
- Vacuum form splint bases and essix retainers
- Trim vacuum formed appliances
- Add powder/liquid build up to splint bases
- Add components (buttons/attachments) to splints and appliances
- Blockouts of models for essix retainers
- Communicate with support for essix hardware
- Ensure the correct work is indicated on the work ticket
Dental Technician Requirements:
- Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good dexterity
- Ability to work in high paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience or education as a dental technician or assistant is an asset
- Must work well in a team-based atmosphere
- Must be able to confidently use a lathe and hand piece by the end of training
