Hallmark is a Halifax based dental lab serving dental clinics and their patients in Atlantic Canada. We are looking to hire an expeditor to join our growing team. In the expeditor role, you will be responsible for monitoring the flow of cases from task to task within the lab. You will identify the potential for late cases and bring these to the production supervisor’s attention to determine solutions. Maintaining a clear and open line of communication is crucial in this position. Success in this role will be demonstrated by ensuring cases are located and identified to be either on time or at risk of missing our delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities of an Expediter:

Tracking and Monitoring:
Expeditors monitor the status and location of cases in the lab using the lab scheduling software and report their progress to the production supervisors.
Coordination and Communication:
They act as a liaison between different departments, shipping and receiving, and most often the lab supervisors, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration. 
Problem Solving and Resolution:
Expeditors identify potential delays, quality issues, or other problems that could impact timelines or efficiency and bring these to the production supervisors. 
Documentation and Reporting:
They document progress, track metrics, and generate reports to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
