Segal McCambridge, a national litigation firm with offices across the United States, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in our Tinley Park, Illinois office. This is an in-office position offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment within a well-established and growing organization.

The ideal candidate will have prior accounts payable experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment, and will be responsible for supporting the firm’s accounting department with daily accounts payable operations, vendor communications, and financial record management.

Key Responsibilities

• Input vendor and firm invoices into the Elite 3E accounting system
• Scan and save vendor invoices and supporting documentation within Elite 3E
• Review and process employee travel and expense reimbursements
• Reconcile firm credit card statements
• Enter and process ACH and wire transfers
• Submit and clear the daily positive pay report
• Prepare ad hoc financial and accounting reports as requested
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoice and payment status
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Assist the accounting team with additional tasks and projects as needed

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years of accounts payable experience preferred
• Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is strongly preferred
• Experience with Elite 3E or similar accounting software is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal staff
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
