Shareholder - Toxic Tort

Salary Range:  $225000 - $325000 year

Segal McCambridge, a national litigation firm, is seeking a Shareholder with a portable book of business to join its toxic tort group in California.  The successful candidate will have asbestos experience and be able blend their book of business with already existing firm business (with some origination credit going to the new shareholder).   This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their book and receive support from a national firm.  While the ideal location is centered around our Los Angeles office, the shareholder can be based in our San Francisco office or remote.

We seek candidates with:

  • Current, active license to practice law in California.  Dual licensure with surrounding states is a plus;
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in asbestos defense including experience in drafting pleadings, written discovery; motions and other related litigation documents; performing legal research; taking and defending depositions; reporting to clients and/or insurance carriers; trial experience and other facets of the litigation process;
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines; 
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and produce top quality work;
  • Ability to manage and grow a team of attorneys and support staff.
