Job Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to work at our facility in Sparta, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating Skytrak Telehandler equipment and be comfortable handling oversized and heavy industrial materials in an active work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Skytrak equipment to safely load and unload oversized loads from semi-trailers
• Load large steel parts onto carts and transport materials in and out of buildings
• Maneuver equipment in tight or active work areas while maintaining full situational awareness
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Ensure the safety of yourself, coworkers, and surrounding personnel during equipment operation
• Perform basic equipment inspections and report any issues or maintenance needs

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Skytrak or similar heavy equipment
• Experience handling oversized loads and large steel components
• Strong understanding of workplace and equipment safety standards
• High level of attention to surroundings and potential hazards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility
• Forklift or equipment operation certifications (if applicable)

Work Environment

• Industrial facility with frequent movement of large equipment and materials
• Requires consistent focus on safety and communication
