The Production Operator is a team member who is responsible for preparing and operating our machine with a strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and consistent execution.

Position Summary

The Production Operator primarily focuses on Pre-Pack production operations. This hands-on role is responsible for operating production equipment, caring for live insects, performing line work, and ensuring product quality standards are consistently met.

This position directly contributes to production efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot equipment and identify root causes of operational issues
  • Perform line work duties associated with machine operations
  • Provide care for live insects throughout the production process
  • Ensure compliance with insect quality standards
  • Prepare boxes, materials, and production supplies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform all duties with accuracy, care, and efficiency
  • Follow established production procedures and company policies
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Communicate professionally with team members and leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a dusty, hot, dirty, and humid environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand, squat, kneel, bend, and carry frequently throughout the shift
  • Ability to count to 100 and perform simple math
  • Ability to use a box cutter and tape gun safely
  • Ability to perform duties with speed, care, and accuracy
  • Ability to understand and speak English
  • Comfortable working directly with live insects

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • Day shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (Hours will fluctuate based on production schedules, shipping schedules, and company needs)
