Job Description

The Bug Company is seeking a Specialty Insect Production Team Member to join our Dubia Roach Production Team. This full-time, on-site role at our Ham Lake, MN location involves caring for and feeding live insects.  This position focuses on the maintenance and care of our dubia roach insects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment. 

 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Monitoring insect health & habitat conditions 
• Preparing food and feeding live insect colonies
• Cleaning and maintaining rearing environments
• Ensuring secure and stable housing for insects
• Following safety and care protocols
• Using tools like box cutters, tape guns, etc.

 What We’re Looking For:

• Comfortable working with live insects daily-you will be handling our live dubia roaches
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs, kneel, squat, and bend
• Reliable and able to work in a hot, humid, dusty environment
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Able to work independently and with a team
• Basic math and tool-handling skills
• Fluent in English with clear communication
• Willingness to adapt and take on tasks as needed

On-site in Ham Lake, MN 55304

Tuesday - Saturday:  8:30am - 5:00pm
