The Cow Creek Health & Wellness Center is excited to announce the availability of a full-time position for a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor I (CADCI). This crucial role is not eligible for remote work, necessitating the successful candidate's presence on-site, where they will contribute substantially to our community's health and wellness initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions using trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patients' unique circumstances.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress towards achieving treatment goals.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including medical, behavioral health, and traditional wellness providers, to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate patients on the risks and consequences of substance abuse, as well as techniques for relapse prevention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and progress.
- Demonstrate respect for and understanding of Tribal sovereignty, history, and the unique experiences of Native and Indigenous communities.
- Promote a strength-based approach that recognizes historical trauma, resilience, and cultural identity as essential components of recovery.
Requirements
- MHACBO Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance abuse counseling.
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for addiction (e.g., CBT, MI, relapse prevention).
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to addiction treatment.
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) and community-based resources.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations, including Tribal members and underserved communities.
