The Cow Creek Band of the Umpqua Tribe of Indians is excited to announce an opening for a Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with our organization, you will play a pivotal role in assisting individuals, families, and various groups within the community to overcome challenges, enhance their well-being, and improve their quality of life. This position demands a dedicated professional capable of using evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to foster substantial positive change.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' psychological, emotional, and social needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address mental health concerns and promote healthy coping mechanisms.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support during emergency situations.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and refer them to necessary community resources for further assistance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare providers, community leaders, and specialists to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Oregon license to practice as a Clinical Social Worker.
  • Profound knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Ability to establish a therapeutic alliance and build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills, essential for understanding patient needs and concerns.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, enabling the diagnosis of complex social and emotional issues effectively.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records and other relevant software systems to manage and track patient information securely and efficiently.
