Position Overview

The Landscape Maintenance Technician at Procare Property Services is an integral role responsible for upkeeping residential and commercial landscapes across our client bases. This full-time position requires precision and a proactive attitude towards landscape care and client satisfaction. Applicants should be ready to perform various outdoor tasks in different weather conditions, emphasizing safety and quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, and edge lawns using commercial-grade equipment to ensure a tidy appearance.
• Perform seasonal landscaping tasks such as mulching, planting, and leaf removal.
• Apply fertilizers and pesticides, following all safety guidelines and application instructions.
• Maintain and repair tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
• Assess and report the health of the lawns and plants, and suggest necessary upkeep or treatments.
• Operate irrigation systems effectively and ensure they function properly, adjusting settings as necessary.
• Manage time effectively to complete the tasks within assigned schedules and routes.
• Communicate regularly with management and clients about current job status, issues, or concerns.
• Carry out duties with a substantial knowledge of horticultural practices and standards.
• Routinely inspect the assigned areas and resolve or report hazards, using a proactive approach to prevent accidents.

Requirements

• Proven experience in lawn care and landscaping maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of operating commercial landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various outdoor conditions.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Dedication to high-quality work and attention to detail.
• Commitment to following environmental and safety guidelines strictly.
• A proactive approach in maintenance, with abilities in problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons and availability for emergencies.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in horticulture or related fields are advantageous.
