Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist journeymen electricians with the installation of electrical systems, including conduits, wiring, switches, and fixtures.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety meetings to ensure work is completed according to federal, state, and local safety standards.
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and hardware.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to effectively assist in installations and repairs.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment to facilitate operations and safety on site.
• Operate power tools and other specialized machinery for electrical tasks.
• Attend and participate in training sessions and seminars to keep up-to-date with the latest electrical codes and new technologies in the field.
• Troubleshoot and solve basic electrical issues under the supervision of a licensed electrician.
• Assist in conducting tests and inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and functionality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent educational certification.
• Criminal background check with no felonies in last 7 years.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in the electrical trade.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and components is preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various conditions.
• Punctual, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic.
