Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Outside Sales Representative with a minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing, HVAC, or building services sales. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record of closing high-value residential and light commercial projects. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, managing a robust sales pipeline, and providing consultative solutions tailored to the needs of our high-net-worth clientele.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of residential and commercial leads through field outreach, networking, referrals, and partnership development.

  • Perform in-home and on-site consultations to assess project scope, customer goals, and system needs.

  • Prepare and present professional proposals using company CRM and estimating tools.

  • Build trust-based relationships with customers, delivering a premium client experience from initial contact through post-sale follow-up.

  • Meet and exceed monthly sales goals, margin targets, and customer satisfaction KPIs.

  • Collaborate with the design, estimating, and project management teams to ensure accurate handoffs and customer expectations are aligned.

  • Attend relevant local events and trade shows to promote company services and build brand presence.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all sales activities in CRM.

  • Stay current on market trends, product innovations, and competitor activity in the local market.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in outside sales, preferably in HVAC, plumbing, or residential construction services.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and premium customer expectations.

  • Proven success in selling large-ticket home improvement projects ($10K+), including remodels, system upgrades, and new installations.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Comfortable in luxury environments with high-end clients who demand precision, discretion, and white-glove service.

  • Tech-savvy with experience using CRM software, proposal tools, and cloud-based productivity platforms.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

  • Knowledge of Southern Vermont geography and real estate market is a plus.
