Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Outside Sales Representative with a minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing, HVAC, or building services sales. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record of closing high-value residential and light commercial projects. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, managing a robust sales pipeline, and providing consultative solutions tailored to the needs of our high-net-worth clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of residential and commercial leads through field outreach, networking, referrals, and partnership development.
Perform in-home and on-site consultations to assess project scope, customer goals, and system needs.
Prepare and present professional proposals using company CRM and estimating tools.
Build trust-based relationships with customers, delivering a premium client experience from initial contact through post-sale follow-up.
Meet and exceed monthly sales goals, margin targets, and customer satisfaction KPIs.
Collaborate with the design, estimating, and project management teams to ensure accurate handoffs and customer expectations are aligned.
Attend relevant local events and trade shows to promote company services and build brand presence.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all sales activities in CRM.
Stay current on market trends, product innovations, and competitor activity in the local market.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and premium customer expectations.
Proven success in selling large-ticket home improvement projects ($10K+), including remodels, system upgrades, and new installations.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable in luxury environments with high-end clients who demand precision, discretion, and white-glove service.
Tech-savvy with experience using CRM software, proposal tools, and cloud-based productivity platforms.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Knowledge of Southern Vermont geography and real estate market is a plus.
