Collections/Inspections Assistant
We are searching for a Collections/Inspections Assistant to hire. The Collections/Inspections Assistant will be working in the relationships department of the company.
In order to excel in this position, you should have a basic knowledge of accounting principles and processes, as well as familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and laws. Our preferable candidate should have great mathematical, problem-solving, organizational, and writing skills. Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and computer skills can also come in handy.
Collections/Inspections Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process client payments and accounts according to financial policies and procedures
- Ensure clients are properly billed for
- Maintain accurate records of incoming payments
- Perform financial transactions
- Perform collection inspections and in person collection visits
- Identify and resolve discrepancies and irregularities
- Ensure discretion and confidentiality of clients and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and laws
- Perform administrative tasks
- Contacting clients if necessary
- Perform scheduled in-home inspections to verify compliance with our stewardship guidelines and standards
- Deliver reports to other departments if needed
- Assist in improving rent collection processes by identifying areas of improvement
Collections/Inspections Assistant Requirements:
- Working experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or a similar position
- Solid knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles, processes, and regulations
- Experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
- Strong mathematical skills
- Writing and organization
- Accuracy and efficiency
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Driver's License
