Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee plumbing projects from conception to completion.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure projects adhere to specifications and regulations.
- Perform hands-on work, including installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation and reports.
- Train and mentor junior plumbers and support staff.
- Ensure safety protocols and standards are followed on-site to maintain a drug-free and safe work environment.
- Manage the procurement of materials and equipment needed for successful project completion.
- Handle onsite client interactions and ensure all client specifications are met with high-quality standards.
- Inspect and test installed systems for compliance with plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during the construction process and provide viable solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in commercial plumbing, with proficiency in Underground, Rough, and Finish.
- Strong leadership qualities and experience in a foreman or lead role.
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing teams and client relationships.
- Physical ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug test as part of the pre-employment screening process.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; a company truck and gas card will be provided after completion of the preliminary employment period.
