Smokey Hills Outdoor Store – Park Rapids, MN
Do you have a passion for the outdoors and enjoy helping people? Smokey Hills Outdoor Store is looking for a motivated, dependable Sales Representative to join our team.
We are a full-service outdoor retailer specializing in hunting, fishing, camping, firearms, ammunition, and outdoor gear. Our team takes pride in providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for every customer who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service throughout the store
- Assist customers with product selection and answer questions across all departments
- Sell firearms and accurately complete all required federal and state paperwork while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and store policies
- Operate the cash register and accurately process customer transactions
- Stock shelves, price merchandise, and maintain attractive displays
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well maintained
- Prepare and ship orders for our growing e-commerce business
- Receive, organize, and stock incoming inventory
- Assist with merchandising and overall store presentation
- Support teammates wherever needed to help the store operate efficiently
Qualifications
- Passion for hunting, fishing, camping, shooting sports, or the outdoor lifestyle
- Clean background check required
- Ability to legally handle and sell firearms in accordance with all applicable laws
- Strong work ethic with a positive, team-first attitude
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Weekend availability required as part of a rotating schedule
Store Hours
Monday through Sunday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Weekend availability is required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting wage: $18.00 per hour
