As an integral part of our team, the individual selected for this role will contribute to our mission of providing top-notch pest management and wildlife control services to our clients. This full-time position involves significant fieldwork and is not remote. The role requires an individual who is passionate about resolving pest and wildlife issues effectively, educating clients on prevention methods, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism in every task performed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect homes, buildings, and the surrounding environment for signs of pests and wildlife.
- Identify pest and wildlife species and assess levels of infestation or intrusion.
- Develop and implement management plans to remove pests or wildlife from properties effectively.
- Use traps, baits, and chemicals in accordance with local wildlife laws and regulations.
- Advise clients on the best practices for preventing future pest and wildlife problems.
- Perform property repairs such as sealing entry points and fixing damages caused by pests or wildlife.
- Maintain accurate records of treatments, client interactions, and transactions.
- Stay current with new developments in the field, including best practices, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Handle and transport wildlife as required according to humane and legal standards.
- Respond to emergency calls for urgent pest or wildlife issues.
- Operate a company vehicle safely to various assignments and locations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pest control or wildlife management, or a closely related field.
- Knowledge of behavior, habitats, and effective management practices for common pests and wildlife.
- Must be comfortable with heights and working on ladders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good driving record and legally qualified to operate a vehicle.
- Organized and detail-oriented with prowess in juggling multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and management.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Willingness to undergo training and certification as required by the industry or company protocols.
- Certification from relevant pest and wildlife control authorities (preferred but not required).
