About CWH Advisors
CWH Advisors is a healthcare advisory firm partnering with providers, healthcare technology companies, and investors to solve complex strategic and operational challenges across the healthcare ecosystem. Our work spans healthcare services, digital health, value-based care, healthcare at home, patient engagement, healthcare technology, and healthcare innovation.
Our clients recognize that successful healthcare transformation requires more than clinical excellence and operational performance. Meaningful engagement with patients and health plan members is essential to improving outcomes, strengthening satisfaction and loyalty, increasing adherence, and building lasting relationships with the populations they serve.
Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Healthcare Member Engagement & Communications Advisor for project-based engagements focused on improving member engagement, patient activation, consumer experience, and healthcare communications.
This role will partner with CWH Advisors and its clients to evaluate existing engagement programs, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop practical, measurable strategies that strengthen relationships between healthcare organizations and the people they serve.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in healthcare member engagement, patient communications, health literacy, consumer experience, and behavior change. They understand that meaningful engagement extends beyond communication alone, it involves designing experiences that encourage individuals to participate actively in their health, follow recommended care plans, and achieve better clinical outcomes.
This is a remote, independent-contractor opportunity with occasional travel based on client and project needs.
Key Responsibilities

- Analyze engagement challenges and translate findings into practical, actionable recommendations.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, roadmaps, and strategic recommendations for healthcare leadership teams.
- Support clients in implementing engagement initiatives and establishing measures of effectiveness.

- Benchmark client programs against leading healthcare organizations, industry standards, and emerging practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve clinical, operational, financial, and experience-related outcomes through stronger engagement.
- Serve as a subject matter expert within multidisciplinary CWH Advisors project teams.
- Integrate member engagement strategies into broader transformation, population health, care management, and value-based care initiatives.
