Experience Required

Scope of Responsibility:  As delegated by the Crew Leader or the Lead Painter, efficiently carry out painting and all paint related duties in a professional and workman-like manner. Ensure that all duties are carried out properly, safely, and within the timeframe prescribed by the job sheets and by the Crew Leader.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Scraping & Sanding.                    

• Jobsite setup & cleanup.

• Maintenance of jobsite throughout the day.

• Caulking, filling nail holes.

• Equipment maintenance.

• Priming. 

• Apply drywall tape and/or joint compound/plaster correctly.

• Glazing of window sash correctly.

• Cleaning brushes.

• Wallpaper stripping.

• Hang sheetrock and/or patch and plaster

• Cut in with various size brushes.

• Roll ceilings and/or walls with any size paint roller.

• Spray various types of paint materials with a conventional airless sprayer.

• Mask with masking tape correctly any surface or edge required.

• Appropriately cover all areas, surfaces, or floors with dropcloths or plastic.

• Sand any surfaces correctly.

• Caulk any joints, seams, or gaps correctly.

• Putty any holes or surface defects correctly.

• Footing ladders for painters.

• Using drop cloths to cover any surface where work is being performed.

• Protection: Covering furniture with plastic: the plastic must be taped to only the plastic itself 

• Be able to safely work with and on various sized step and/or extension ladders.

• Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

• Cleaning up the job site.

• Continue to learn

• Assist Lead Painters and Crew Leaders as directed

• Assist Apprentices

• Complete all paperwork correctly.

• Communicate with all clients in a professional manner.
