Billings' top-rated painting company, Matt the Painter, is looking for a sales assassin who doesn't wait for leads to come to them - you create opportunities and close deals with championship level character.

This isn't a "sit and wait" sales job. We need someone who:

  • Hunts new business relentlessly

  • Self-generates leads through networking, referrals, and hustle

  • Closes deals without hand-holding

  • Thrives on commission and unlimited earning potential

You prospect aggressively - networking events, door knocking, referral generation, strategic partnerships. 

You create your own pipeline - you don't wait for marketing to hand you leads. 

You close on the spot - you know how to ask for the sale and handle objections. 

You're self-motivated - no one needs to tell you to make calls or book appointments. 

You love the chase - the thrill of landing a big project gets you out of bed

You operate with integrity - you'd rather lose a deal than compromise our values

You're NOT:

A "farmer" who only works warm leads. 

Someone who needs constant direction. 

Afraid of rejection or hearing "no".  

Looking for a 9-5 with a salary cap

A "win at all costs" salesperson who cuts corners or burns bridges

THE ROLE

Position: Sales Consultant (Hunter)Territory: Yellowstone County Sales Target: $1.5M+ annually

What You'll Do:

Self-generate 40-60% of your own pipeline through:

  • Networking (Realtors, property managers, HOAs, builders)

  • Referral partnerships

  • Door knocking high-value neighborhoods

  • Strategic community involvement

 Close company-provided leads (we still generate inbound - you just don't rely on them)

Build a referral machine - turn every customer into 3 more opportunities

Communicate directly with operations - surface issues early, ensure seamless delivery

COMPENSATION (Uncapped Earning Potential)

100% Commision

  • $4k/month Stipend which is charged against your future commisions

  • Year 1 Target: $75K-$90K (realistic for a hunter)

  • Year 2+ Target: $100K-$150K+ (top performers crush this)

Commission Structure Rewards Hunters:

  • Higher commission rates on self-generated leads

  • Residual income on repeat customers YOU bring in

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Haves:

Hunter DNA - you thrive on prospecting and closing

Comfortable with rejection - you hear "no" 10 times to get 1 "yes"

Self-starter - you don't need a manager breathing down your neck

Tech-savvy - CRM, estimating software, mobile apps

Clean background check

Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)

Direct communicator - you surface problems early and tell the truth

Preferred:

Painting or construction industry experience - Existing network in Billings (Realtors, property managers, etc.) - Experience with door-to-door or field sales

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Drives through neighborhoods looking for houses that need painting

  • Builds relationships with Realtors, property managers, and HOAs

  • Closes deals in the kitchen, not over email

SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday: 8 AM - 6 PM (flexible for hunters who work evenings/weekends to close)Occasional evenings/weekends for appointments (your choice - you control your calendar)
