Dental Technician - Nightguards

SUMMARY

Primary duty is to fabricate high quality denture prosthetics, complete prosthetic repairs, relines, and rebases.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Wax-up and finishing of nightguards
• Set up dental models and identify possible bite alignment issues
• Crate mouth guards/bite splints
• Repair, reline, and adjust nightguards as needed
• Read prescriptions and specifications
• Build and shape wax using small hand instruments and information from dentist specifications
• Check appliances for proper fit, function, and quality
• Complete required paperwork, reports, and production records
• Maintain and improve quality standards by identifying process improvements
• Stay up-to-date on industry knowledge and best practices
• Contribute to the success of the dental lab by taking on new tasks and supporting team goals
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree in Dental Technology or equivalent work experience
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and prescriptions
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to inspect products and ensure quality standards are continuously met
• Good record-keeping and documentation skills
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Technical knowledge of dental procedures, prescriptions, equipment, or molds a plus
