Shipping Clerk

New Image Dental Laboratory, a leader in dental restorations and prosthetics, is excited to announce a full-time opening for a Shipping Clerk at our facility. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring that every order is handled with care and precision. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be charged with organizing, preparing, and ensuring the secure delivery of our dental products to clients nationwide. Please note, this position is based on-site at our laboratory and is not eligible for remote work.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare dental products and related paperwork for shipping, ensuring that all items are securely packaged and labeled correctly.
• Conduct final checks on all outgoing shipments to confirm that orders are complete and meet quality standards.
• Maintain an orderly and safe work environment within the shipping area.
• Utilize shipping software to schedule pick-ups and track shipments.
• Coordinate with front office and production staff to prioritize daily shipments.
• Regularly update inventory and shipment logs to reflect outgoing and received items.
• Inspect packages for damage and report any discrepancies or issues to the management immediately.
• Follow organizational policies relating to confidentiality and data protection regulations.
• Handle and resolve shipping-related queries from customers and other departments professionally.
• Participate in periodic training and workshops to stay updated with shipping practices and warehouse management technologies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a shipping or logistics role.
• Proficiency in shipping software and good computer skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order preparations and documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
• Understanding of basic math skills for inventory and order management.
• Capability to adapt to changing environments and operational needs.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in stressful situations.
