Lead and manage the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to final delivery.
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and cost estimates.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including RF, Electrical, Mechanical engineering, design, procurement, manufacturing, and testing.
Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Manage project risks and develop mitigation plans.
Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams on project status, risks, and deliverables.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical expertise in engineering design, problem-solving, and system integration.
Ensure all engineering projects comply with relevant industry standards and company policies.
Lead design reviews, technical discussions, and innovation initiatives.
Work closely with RF, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers to ensure successful project execution.
Support the development of new engineering methods, tools, and processes.
Collaboration with Engineering Teams:
Collaborate with RF, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers to ensure project designs are feasible, manufacturable, and meet all requirements.
Facilitate communication and alignment between engineering, CAD design, and manufacturing teams.
Provide technical direction and problem-solving support to engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure engineers have the resources and support needed to move projects toward successful completion.
CAD Design and Oversight:
Lead and manage the CAD design process, ensuring all drawings and models meet engineering requirements and project specifications.
Oversee the work of CAD designers, providing guidance, technical direction, and feedback to ensure high-quality outputs.
Ensure all CAD designs are accurate, up-to-date, and properly documented for manufacturing and assembly.
Review and approve CAD drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Coordinate CAD design activities with the project team to ensure seamless integration of design and engineering efforts.
AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation & Maintenance:
Play a key role in the early stages of implementing the AS9100 QMS, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
Assist in developing and documenting processes, procedures, and policies in line with AS9100 standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all RF, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering processes comply with AS9100 requirements.
Support internal audits and gap assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure readiness for certification.
Participate in maintaining the AS9100 system post-implementation, ensuring continuous compliance through regular updates and audits.
Work closely with the quality team to resolve non-conformities and ensure ongoing improvements in quality processes.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement within project execution and engineering workflows.
Drive Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement in technical, design, and quality management processes.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (RF, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field). Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in project management roles.
Proven experience in CAD design, with oversight of CAD designers in an engineering environment.
Experience in working with RF, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering teams to drive projects to successful completion.
Knowledge of quality management systems, with familiarity with AS9100 being an advantage (prior experience with AS9100 implementation and maintenance is a plus).
Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) and the ability to guide CAD design teams.
Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project planning software (e.g., MS Project).
Understanding of quality management systems, with exposure to AS9100 or similar standards.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
AS9100 Lead Auditor or similar quality management certification is an advantage, especially for long-term maintenance of the system.
